Day 2: Still Traveling

May 22nd-

It doesn't feel like day two, but I guess it is. We're still traveling! We're in Paris now, waiting for our connecting flight. Everyone is exhausted, it's 4:30 in the morning back home and apparently not too many people were able to sleep on the plane. Pat's eyes are bloodshot and Seth looks like someone has repeatedly punched him in the face (not to mention he's wicked cranky).

I'm worse for the wear as well though. The flight was boiling, I've never been on a plane that was so hot. I dressed anticipating chilliness and sweat off half my body weight. It would also be easier if only I could tear my nose off my face... but, despite this I was still able to sleep on the plane. I was contorted, but it worked. The biggest thing is that something about the pressure business in planes makes me feel like I've got 9 gallons of extra blood pumping through me. It's gross.

One more flight, three[ish] hours from Paris and then we'll be in Rome! We'll catch up with our Tour Guide, Jason and the rest of the crew and be on our way. They won't let us chill out in our hotel right away, we'll get our rooms, put up our suitcases and then walk around Rome for a few hours before we go to bed. It'll help adjust to the time difference if we don't go to bed immediately.

The crew.
